Community Programs

Below we have listed the most recent community programs that our Mareena Purslowe funeral directors have been involved in and continue to support, including lifestyle and health programs, local clubs and nationwide initiatives.

In other states of Australia Mareena Purslowe Funerals is known as White Lady Funerals. White Lady Funerals provides the same special woman's understanding, the same care for families and the same commitment to creating a personalised funeral service that guests will remember that Mareena Purslowe Funerals is renowned for.

White Lady's female funeral directors are just as active in their communities as Mareena Purslowe's ladies are here in Western Australia. You can find out more by visiting

Mareena Purslowe Funerals is proud to support Breast Cancer Care WA.

Breast Cancer Care WA

For many years Mareena Purslowe Funerals has supported Breast Cancer Care WA, a charity that supports those with breast cancer financially, emotionally and with practical living assistance. Tailoring its support services to the individual needs of each person with breast cancer, the organisation has helped hundreds of people while receiving treatment for breast cancer, including many men.

Services provided by Breast Cancer Care WA include breast care nurses, counsellors, support groups, therapy groups, online and peer support, practical and financial support.

Mareena Purslowe Funerals proudly supports Lions.

Lions Recycle for Sight Programme

The Lions are one of the world's best known community organisations and the Recycle for Sight programme is one of their most important initiatives. Eye glasses are collected, repaired and cleaned, and then sent to communities in the developing world where they are distributed to people who otherwise would have no access to them. A simple pair of eye glasses can literally have a life changing effect for the recipient.

Mareena Purslowe Funerals assists this programme through the placement and promotion of eye glasses collection boxes in our funeral homes and around our communities.

Together with the help of the community, Mareena Purslowe Funerals has sent thousands of eye glasses to the Lions for distribution to communities currently without access to the medical services or the funds required to address vision impairment.

More information about the Lions Recycle for Sight Programme is available.
